Only ever once a year - HAH
Welly was wrapped in fog again today. This year that has become so commonplace that it is hardly worth mentioning. But there was something pretty cool this time. The fog burnt off from the top down. At one point, the area around the building I work in and the top of Mount Victoria rose from the fog. From my window on the top floor it looked like the top of Mt Vic was floating in the air above the clouds. I immediately put me in mind of Laputa.
I don't have a picture to show y'all. I don't even own a camera - I never have, apart from the occasional disposable. I have been reconsidering this position lately. The rise to dominance of digital cameras has fundamentally altered the power, ease of use and flexibility of the devices. And of course there is the whole techolust thing. But would I use it? Perhaps. And even if I had a camera, would I have it at work to capture today's scene? I think not.
