Another in an occasional series - why I don't have pets. Reason #4 - Hair.

I spent a very pleasant evening with

lobelet, Robin and their three friendly cats last night. Apart from the pleasure I always get from the company of the humans in question, the cats all at various times showed their affections and received it from me in return. Very nice, but when I got home I discovered just how much hair they were able to shed over my clothes. Much brushing ensued.

I'm not sure that I could live with that much extra hair in my life. Especially when cats have the ability to shed the fur that has the greatest contrast to the material being shed upon.

And why did I spend the evening there - well that would be reason #5. Something for another time.

Usual disclaimer - I like cats (and dogs) and they appear to like me. I get a lot of queries from people asking why I don't have pets.
