Blasphemy
Ashleigh Brilliant says: "Its always easy to choose between the Ultimate, the Infinite and the Chocolate".
I love that line. I try to use it every time I'm in public and about to make a pig of myself with chocolate. (This may the first time I have ever given it an attribution though.) The point is, there is a mystique to chocolate. People love it. They write poetry about it. They compose cantatas to it (well that might be coffee but you get the idea). Kage Baker even created an SF universe where she contrived chocolate to be the only effective stimulant for her characters.
So here's the thing. Through lack of planning and good luck, I have in my house some pretty good quality chocolate. I also have liquorice allsorts. But its the liquorice I'm eating obsessively. I feel like I'm committing sacrilege. Really - its like a sin or something.
As I offer this confession, in my defence I must say it is really brilliant liquorice. It is manufactured by a small company up the coast and it is made from natural ingredients with real fruit in the coloured bits and it tastes incredible. Gotta go now. Need more.
