Following on the non reading problem. The thing is that I pick up a book, read a couple of pages and then put it down. I just can't engage.

Well that was how it worked all week. So today I tried another tack. I got some very short stories - specifically I got ASIM 18. The idea being that by the time I had read the few pages I would have finished a story. No need to engage further - that is all that is needed. Just like squirting ether into a car engine to start it on a cold morning.

It worked pretty well. I read ASIM 18 this morning in 4 short sessions. But that got the ball rolling and I was then able to read 100 pages or so of the Alastair Reynolds book.

Just by the way - ASIM 18 - really very good.

Don't you have too many bonds to that oxygen molecule? :)

It is supposed to represent two bonds which is normal for Oxygen. Ethers are characterised by an oxygen atom joined to two alkyl groups - in this case methyl groups. Think of it as just like a water molecule (H-O-H) except that the Hydrogens are replaced by methyl groups.
