My television has taken to turning itself off after 20 minutes of operation. If I turn it back on, it gives me another 10 minutes then it won't come back on again for about half an hour. Do you think the universe is trying to tell me something? Do I really watch too much? Or does it just not like me watching Stargate:Atlantis which was the only thing I tried to watch last night.

Things have come to a sorry pass when even the TV set has become a critic.

Time to stop living as an anchorite and to socialise more.

It is possible that the TV is sulking because I have actually been neglecting it of late - spending too much time in front of the computer.

"oh dear" indeed. On the glass half full side - I can still listen to stuff via the stereo plugged into the Sky decoder so I was able to listen to SGA last night.

Retire your TV and watch everything on the computer instead! :)

I am already watching a lot more on my computer than on the TV but I lack the necessary technology to redirect my Sky decoder into my computer so that I can watch live sport on the computer.

Actually, the technology I really need are the bits that let me feed the computer into the big screen of the TV. I know they exist I just don't have them.
