threemonkeysSo I did the holiday season thing and went away. Some of the time was spent at my cousin's new place on lake Dunstan in central Otago. Actually it was quite isolated - no Internet, no television. But that was more to do with the newness of the house rather than the isolation per se.
I'll post a few more photos from the trip soon, but I thought y'all might be interested in a couple of these shots. Especially you Aussies.
This is what we woke up to on boxing day - this shot taken from the patio. Look closely where the hills meet the clouds, there is some white stuff there and it looks fresh.
This shot is a short walk and 180 degrees in the other direction looking at the hills behind the house. Yep, more fresh snow at Xmas - there wasn't any snow at all there the previous day. Hard to believe, but yet there is was.
