The only down side is that I now have the Reuben Thorne song stuck in my head and it won't let go.

I wondered what the result was.
Thought you would be watching it live rather than at the sickness central that was the port ingestion group.

I originally intended to attend PIG for an hour and rush home to catch the second half live. But my body didn't agree - a sore back and a broken tooth persuaded me otherwise.

There are two stories in that one reply. Care to elucidate?

Its all pretty sad and boring really - I had a rotten weekend other than the rugby. On Saturday I woke up with a sore back which got worse during the day and didn't come right until monday. I broke the corner off a tooth eating a snack on saturday and another on monday - both were old repairs that came adrift - i.e. not catastrophic incidents caused by blunt force trauma.

Oh and then there was the headache and sore eyes for most of the weekend which is a hangover from having another cold last week.

As I say - sad & boring and not fit for socialising with.

So much wailing with optional teeth gnashing.
My sympathies.
Hope you were able to get early access to a dentist.

BTW - at least five people at PIG, including the host, had a (the) cold. But not Robin.

Strangely enough I already have a dentist appointment organised. One of the breaks was expected from last time I was at the dentist (just a couple of weeks ago) where he identified that one repair was loose and that we should schedule a session for some serious (i.e. expensive) work. The timing of that work means I won't be at Gamebirds this month.

But look who beat you lot at home

We got something right near the end. A morsel to nibble at during the long dark nights of rugby pessimism.

I'm still looking forward to Otago winning the Ranfurly Shield before I die...it hasn't happened in my lifetime.

I'd make excuses but Otago rugby needs every mosel it can nibble at right now. I expect it to bounce back.
