threemonkeysI just found out that the woman killed by a campervan driver was the daughter of good friends of my mother. I have met and socialised with these people on many occasions - they are nice people and I am so sorry for them - they must be devastated. The story made all the news media and I remember thinking that it was very unfortunate at the time. But the impact of this sad event is so much greater when it has a personal connection.
