So, my foot is sore. It hurts to walk. Go to doc. He says it might be a fracture. Says, go get an x-ray. Where? Go to this clinic. Oh that's easy, I can walk there. Oh wait. D'oh.

They do that all the time. When I broke my ankle, the X-ray technician said (and I quote): "You've broken your ankle. You shouldn't be walking on it. Take these X-ray pictures across the corridor and three doors down to the doctor."

Luckily it isn't that serious - I may (or may not) have broken a bone in a toe (right where is joins the rest of the foot). I'm OK for short distances but the clinic is about a kilometre distant which normally is nothing but now that sort of distance becomes really rather painful.
