Iconic Kiwi nibbles
May. 23rd, 2006 08:14 pmI just realised that I am probably only going to make one more shopping expedition before I head to cons. Following on from discussion on this post, I promised
gillpolack that I would fetch a few iconic and unique New Zealand foods across the Tasman to Conflux. Before I head out shopping I thought I would get final feedback from y'all about what I should take. Conflux attendees may well want to share.
Obviously I am constrained by practicality (no L&P or Hokey Pokey ice cream) and Aussie customs regulations (no NZ apples etc*) so that means processed foods only. Chocolate fish obviously but also pineapple lumps or grain waves? Perhaps New Zealand's variation on Marmite?
Any thoughts?
*Obviously NZ apples are available everywhere in the world except Australia but that is a whole other discussion.
