No power in the 'verse

Rain, Hail, storm force winds, a blocked road, a head cold and a lack of sleep. Nothing was going to stop me watching that movie.

And the result. Lets just say that I don't think a film should be allowed to affect me that strongly in so many ways. I didn't want to stay around and talk afterwards, such was the strength of impact that I didn't want others to dilute it by discussion or comments. Others may have different ideas but then I have been worshipping at the alter of Joss for quite a while now.

Yes that is nice but...

Every so often you see stuff like this from NASA. Proposing to go back to the moon by 2018. That is 13 years. It only took 8 or so to go from no space programme or expertise to the first moon landing. I know that a lot is about funding and political will but really! - harrumph.

That is annoying but worse is that this isn't the first announcement like this. NASA or the US government makes some "back to the moon" or "go to Mars" announcement and then nothing happens. Then there is another announcement. Don't announce it, just do it!
