netzl's birthday. Good company, nice food, good service and all that. But the thing that sticks in my mind most vividly was when I walked up to the table and looked at the chairs. These were proper chairs. Nicely upholstered and wide enough for my ample frame. And the spacing between the settings was wide enough that there was plenty of elbow room. Too often restaurants, even expensive ones, try to cram too many people in. Having a comfortable chair and room to move so enhances the whole experience - anybody planning to run a restaurant, please take notice.
