It is another day of complete cloud cover so my chances of seeing the comet today don't look good. To compensate I have been doing a more thorough than usual look around the science news sites.

So, a question for the science nerds. Which is more exciting:
A feathered dinosaur that may have flown like a biplane.
A walking molecule which can carry a load.

Your answer may reveal something about yourself. Personally, I'm going with "both are cool".

I got hold of a bunch of Tin Tin images recently which I clipped this one from. I'm actually thinking of changing my lj account type so I can use a whole lot more of them.

Herge's illustrations are my favourites. I have one of those huge plastic rocket book display stands in my house. Filled with Tintin books, of course.

even cooler is where it came from... one day, many years ago, a carful of stoned [insert name of bookshop chain here] worker buddies turned up giggling on my doorstep. Knowing my love for all things Tintin, they'd decided to steal and deliver me a rocket.

Cool on top of cool on top of cool. Its good when friends know you so well.

sure is. They told me the rocket was in a storage bay and not being used. I chose to believe them...

You should always believe your friends. ;-)

Both are seriously cool, but having been a dinophile for as long as I can remember, I'm going to vote for the biplane.

A tick in the "body of knowledge" column. Dinosaurs just stir the imagination don't they.

Both are definitely cool, but I'm leaning towards the dinosaur myself. Just gotta love those feathery leathery critters!

...and the dinos go in the lead in the coolness stakes.
