I signed on the bottom line today. I start a new job on Monday. I'm happy with the workplace and I'm happy with my ability to do the work. My only worry - getting up in time. My body clock needs serious readjustment. It is like jet lag but without the helpful change in sunrise time.

I wonder what I can spend my first pay on.

The locality you will be working in is not a shoppers' mecca, so I expect special expeditions to dispose of the mounds of filthy lucre you'll be earning.

Being away from shops may have the benefit of keeping spending under control. Although indications are that getting into Welly from time to time shouldn't be an issue. For sure, the weak US dollar is no bad thing for a consumer - yesterday I checked out a few titles on Amazon for the first time in ages because of it.
