Cold

When weather forecasters use the word "bitter" to describe the cold winds then you know it is a good day to stay inside. Unfortunately my car was booked on for a WoF today so I wrapped myself up and headed off into town. The wrappings worked as I made my way to my about-to-be-former place of employment.

Yes I am now officially unemployed rather than on extended leave. Work had a goodbye morning tea for me which was nice - it was good to close these things off properly and say goodbye and thanks to the people I worked with. They gave me some Dymocks vouchers as a leaving gift - clearly they know me well. Of course I went to use them immediately. I need help. Buying books is a compulsion.

While at Dymocks I got a call from the garage to say my car failed its WoF and needs money spent. Sigh - those big fat tyres may hold the car on the road well but they sure are expensive. The extension of this is that Continuum not looking such a good bet. But at least the weather improved as they day went on.

Davros was not here

I sometimes wonder why I own a camera because I regularly forget to use it. Somehow I did manage to take photos of the daleks - funny that. People have asked, so here is the best one (which may tell you how badly the others came out).
