An epiphany of sorts
Apr. 18th, 2005 08:35 pmI don't watch "reality shows". I can become quite passionate about the blight that they are on the televisual landscape. Failing that, when my colleagues talk about survivor or whatever I grit my teeth and get on with my work.
But I have this slightly guilty habit of watching Antiques Roadshow. Guilty because I am not "into" antiques at all so my motivations are a bit darker. It just struck me that this programme is actually a reality show. It deals with real people in unrehearsed situations with unexpected prompts. Gosh. I don't know how to react to that revelation.
