Drip drip drip

My garage has a leak in the roof. I went out to the car this morning to find a steady stream of water coming down on the car's windscreen redirected from the rain that was coming down outside.
Not a big deal in itself because the car is waterproof, the water runs away outside without affecting anything valuable and it will be fairly easy to fix. What does worry me is that the garage has the same type of roof as my house which means that there is a threat of the house starting to leak in the next while. I don't like the idea of leaks in the house - I find the whole idea of water invading my house to be quite disturbing. Disturbing in a manner over and above the potential physical damage it may cause. A house is supposed to protect you from the rain.

Date: 2006-03-21 08:13 pm (UTC)All the bookcases are raised a little above the floor level, so they are safe from minor flooding. So would take a direct leak to get them, which makes them s little safer *relaxes only very slightly*
