I hate to look a gift Dalek in the whatever, but I started to watch Dinotopia the series today - the DVDs I won at Conflux. I'm only half an episode in but it is almost unwatchably lame already. Does anybody know if it gets any better?

Not necessarily so. I myself have read several Tom Clancy books and can unreservedly say that the movies are without fail better than the books.

I'll take your word for it - having neither read nor watched them.

I guess there are other exceptions if you think long enough but they are a minority. Unless you count novelisations and then it flips the other way.
