Finally

I have new neighbours. The house next to mine has been vacant for months, but finally somebody moved in over the weekend. For some reason it felt strange having nobody living next door - I must like having neighbours. I went over to welcome them to the area this morning and we had a good chat over a cup of tea. I think we have enough in common to get on well and have a good working neighbourly relationship. They are already keen to remove the ivy on their side of our shared fenceline - something I had been hoping to persuade anybody who moved in to do - but they volunteered before I mentioned it. A very good start indeed.
