girliejones reminded me that my sister used to knit fruit. She did this Apple Computers apple for me many years ago. As good a test as any for seeing how the "blog this" option from flickr works.

This was a one off with the stripes and the bite. She did a lot more normal looking apples plus oranges, lemons, pears, peaches etc and bunches of grapes which were clumps of small pom-poms.

I don't think it took long to knit, but she had to devise a new pattern because she couldn't adapt the existing apple pattern because the stiches went the other way (up & down instead of across). She is clever like that.
